Lisa Meyer has been named Western Asset Mortgage Capital Corporation’s new president following the resignation of former president and CEO Jennifer Murphy. Meyer will retain her position as the company’s chief financial officer. 

Meyer has served as CFO and treasurer of the company since 2016. She has over 23 years of financial experience. 

Prior to working in this capacity with the company, Meyer was interim chief financial officer (beginning in November 2015). From 2011 to November 2015, she was a managing director of FTI, Consulting Inc. in the real estate solutions practice, where she focused on providing services related to financial reporting, research and interpretation of generally accepted accounting principles and assistance with SEC regulatory matters, primarily regarding REITs, financial services companies, as well as real estate private equity funds and other real estate operating companies. 

She received a M.S. in Finance from Northeastern University – D’Amore-McKim School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Economics from the City University of New York – Queens College. She is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.
