April Conti took on the role of Senior Director of Marketing and Technology in 2020 with no idea of the industry chaos that was to follow in two weeks when the pandemic hit. A year later, she can claim the successful rollout of Peoples Mortgage Company’s new point-of-sale system that helped improve client service and handled the high volume of incoming originations in a record-breaking year.

With almost 20 years at the company and known by some as the “Peoples Mascot”, April started as a Loan Officer Assistant and climbed her way up into roles such as Loan Officer and Marketing Director. She brings her holistic view of the company and the mortgage process into her role overseeing all of the company’s technology platforms.

In moving the company to its new POS, Blend, April was able to make the customer experience a more seamless process and helped connect all of Peoples’ various technology systems. This resulted in faster closings and a more effortless experience for customers and Peoples’ loan originators. The change was not an easy one, as April had to strongly convince the company’s executive committee and loan officers that changing the system that had been implemented only a year earlier was the right move.

April also acted as a mentor for the incoming Director of Marketing and continually assisted loan officers with using technology to help manage their leads and handle their influx of business.
